Hi! My name is Beth Ross and this is my wedding story about my wedding and about how this wedding website was started.
I am am married to a wonderful man, and have two great step-sons.
My husband and I met on an on-line dating site in October 2010. We were engaged exactly six months later, on April 3, 2011 and got married on August 22, 2011 on Fort Myers Beach, FL. It was a dream wedding!
I am not an expert, per-se, on wedding planning but I have been involved with weddings for as long as I can remember. My mother owned a flower shop (thus, did the flowers for hundreds of weddings), she then went on to become a professional wedding photographer (I was her "assistant"). My grandmother and sister were professional cake decorators. I have seen hundreds of wedding cakes over the years.
I currently work full-time as a grocery store manager but in my spare-time I love to do computer stuff. I used to play games and spend a lot of time on facebook but I've since taken that time and energy and turned it into building websites and I love it!
After creating the first website and learning that I could make money from it, I decided to create more. I think of it as my extra spending money now and future "retirment" plan.
I lost many years of not being able to put money into a 401k because my previous company didn't offer it. Ever since I can remember I had a dream to retire (at least from working full-time) at the age of 50. Well, as of today, that is only 5 years away...eek..I know!
I decided that these websites are a way for me to build up residual income (that is money that keeps coming in even 24/7 even when I am not working!) and will help me to work toward my early retirment dream. The added bonus is that I can use some of the money I make now for every day stuff or to go on special trips...
...just by sharing my advice and passion.
By the time I retire, I will have a nice monthly income coming in from all of the afilliate resources I use on my websites. My husband thinks it's brilliant (at least that's what he always tells me...that's why I married him)
Anyway, back to my wedding website. As I mentioned above, my family has a strong link to weddings. After just getting married again myself it just felt like the perfect thing to create a wesbite about. I just love weddings! So, I thought it would be awesome to be able to share my advice and tips about something I love.
So, to continue with my wedding story...My husband and I had the perfect beach wedding. My mother was instrumental in helping us create the perfect setting. She prepared all of the decorations and then took the photos as well. Saved us a lot of money! It helps when you have others who are able to help with some do-it-yourself things to save money. It was a small, intimate, second wedding but every thing was perfect.
You can view our beach wedding photos here.
I also put together a collection of what I think are some of the best beach wedding favors for you to check out on this website along with beach wedding invitations. Can you tell I love beach weddings? So much so that I may do another website just on beach weddings :)
So, that is what I can tell you about me and how I started this website. It all stemmed from a love of the internet and weddings..romance, love, etc...I just took something I was excited about and turned into my early retirment plan!
As for me and my husband...we are madly in love and thank God every day that we found each other. Some of our favorite songs and ones we played at our wedding are: God Gave Me You by Dave Barnes, When You Say Nothing At Allby Ronan Keating, Love of My Life (The Wedding Song) by Darla Day.
And...yes...I do believe our love is that once in a lifetime fairy tale romance!
