Beach Wedding Pictures - Photos and Ideas for your beach wedding
Whether you are looking for beach wedding pictures to get ideas for your own beach wedding or what types of photos to have your photographer take, this page will help you.
These photos were taken at my own beach wedding in August 2011 by my mother. We did not hire a professional photographer although my mother had been a professional years ago. She used a basic digital camera for these beach wedding pictures.
So, if you are trying to save money you could find a family friend to take some of your photos. Just remember though that there are no do-overs.
Your big day will only happen once and the wedding photos are the lasting memories from your wedding. You want them to be just right! For me, these were perfect.
We had our wedding ceremony on the beach but you can still have photos taken on a beach even if you have the ceremony some place else.

Coordinate with your photographer to meet you at the beach between the ceremony and reception to have your beach wedding photos taken.
For me, I had to have sunset photos so I planned my wedding for 6:30 pm knowing during that time, sunset was at approx. 7:45 pm. That gave us plenty of time for the ceremony, non-sunset photos and then sunset photos.

For these first two photos we wanted to incorporate palm trees. These are horizontal versions but I also made sure we had some vertical style taken to show the height of the trees we were next to. They also include the long palm branches and are very pretty!

The next thing we wanted was to make sure we had photos by the water and of our ceremony site with the water in the background.

Our wedding was at Fort Myers Beach in Florida so we had to get photos of us next to the fishing pier on the beach. We also had some taken of us on the pier but these are my favorite.

If you are particular about the details of your wedding and the photos you want taken you should visit the beach prior to your wedding day to determine where you would like your photos taken.Look for areas on the beach with something to stand by or that can be included in the photos to help identify the beach. Lifeguard house, lighthouse, beach fence, pier, nice palm trees, etc... The photos are more personable to include something in them.
If you aren't concerned about particular photos then leave the details up to your photographer. If you are hiring a professional that is their role. Share with them ideas of what you are looking to get and let him or her take care of the rest (you have enough to think about!)
